You may find that you are not eligible and that you will need to take a qualifying exam before you can be accepted to a degree program. In this case, you should read through the page which describes qualifying exams to find out how you you can arrange to study, sit, and pass the exam so you can be eligible to enter university abroad. Qualifying exams are commonly English language proficiency exams or High School equivalence exams.
If you are interested in studying in Myanmar, you should consider distance education from abroad. This is education supervised from universities outside of Myanmar. When you complete the education, you will receive a certificate or degree from the international university, depending on the level of education you study and if you pass.
Foundation courses are non-degree studies completed before you start a bachelor degree, and they are usually for students who finish high school or some university but have not finished university and do not yet have a degree.
Diplomas are often 1-3 years in length, and they can be issued by any organization. They are usually taken in order to get employment skills in a certain profession or a general understanding about a specific subject.
Associate degrees are offered in the U.S.A. and Canada. They are often equivalent to the first two years of university, and therefore they take 2 years to complete. These are often completed in the USA and Canada at community colleges.
Bachelor degrees usually take 3-5 years to complete. From Myanmar, you usually need high school plus two years of Myanmar university (or an internationally accredited high school diploma or certificate) and an English qualification to be eligible.
Master degrees take approximately 1-2 years to complete and follow on from a bachelor degree. From Myanmar, you usually need to have completed a bachelor or master degree from a Myanmar university and may need an English qualification to be eligible.
Master of Philosophy degrees take approximately 1-2 years to complete and usually follow on from a master degree. From Myanmar, you usually need to have completed a master degree from a Myanmar university and may need an English qualification to be eligible.
PhDs take approximately 3 or more years to complete and usually follow on from a master degree. You usually need to have passed a master degree with high marks and have some work or research experience to be eligible.
These are additional concentrations in specific areas usually done to focus a degree a bit more or to add another specialization that is not related to your other degrees. Work is above a bachelor level, but below a master level and can lead to a master degree.
