Tamkang University Entrance Scholarships

Tamkang is a university of ideals, vision, and creativity. It sees the pursuit of excellence and ongoing innovation as characterizing sustaining its fundamental management philosophy. Over the last 60-plus years, since its foundation, TKU has focused on developing academic research, teaching, and learning services with an innovative spirit. It was the first university in Taiwan to employ Total Quality Management (TQM), which it introduced in 1992. In 2006, the Tamkang Quality Award was initiated to recognize outstanding departments committed to TQM. It has generated impressive results and garnered positive public feedback. TQM efforts were significant in helping TKU win the prestigious National Quality Award in 2009. Since its inception as a university, Tamkang has had six scholar-educators serving as president: Clement C. P. Chang, Yea-Hong Chen, Louis R. Chow, Yun-Shan Lin, Horng-Jinh Chang, Flora C.I. Chang, and the current President, Huan-Chao Keh, who assumed the presidency on August 1, 2018. Huan-Chao Keh president will lead TKU to continue developing and constructing the “Fifth Wave of Tamkang,” enhance Tamkang Culture, refine and activate organization, strive for resources of industry, government and alumni and cooperate with the Ministry of Education’s Higher Education Sprout Project, the government’s “5+2” core industries and artificial intelligence industrial applications, the New South-bound Policy. The new course of development of the “Fifth Wave of Tamkang” was aunched “Transcend period,” and taking the vision of “To Create A Great Tamsui; To Embrace A Smart Future” and implement local links, regional cooperation, international chains and innovation practice. Tamkang’s administrative teams have applied innovative strategies to promote the Three Circles and Five Disciplines of Education. The “Three Circles” refer to Tamkang’s professional curriculum, general curriculum, and extracurricular curriculum, while the “Five Disciplines of Education” include conduct, intelligence, physical education, teamwork, and beauty.

2021 International Scholarships at National Sun Yet-sen University

NSYSU is comprised of seven colleges: Liberal Arts, Science, Engineering, Management, Marine Sciences, Social Sciences, and Si-Wan. The university places equal emphasis on both teaching and research of Humanities, Sciences, and Engineering. Since 2006, NSYSU has received additional funding from the Ministry of Education (MOE) through the “Aim for the Top University Plan” and “Higher Education Sprout Project” to enhance teaching and research. Outstanding academic achievements exhibited by many departments have landed NSYSU among the world’s top universities in many academic rankings.

NSYSU has sister-university agreements with over 250 universities from more than 40 countries around the world. Within these partnerships, we engage in student exchange, dual degree programs, joint supervision, research collaborations, and joint symposiums. We dedicate to create an internationalized campus where over 1,200 international students come to NSYSU for degree programs, exchange programs, research fellowships, or language learning. Scholarship Programs for International Students at National Yang Ming University

Founded in 1975, National Yang-Ming University, formerly known as National Yang-Ming College of Medicine, has been adhering to the school motto of “benevolent mind and art, putting knowledge into practice” while training excellent humane doctors to provide service by solving medical problems in remote and rural areas.

Graduated in 1982, the first government-sponsored class of the Faculty of Medicine was sent to public clinics and hospitals. Since then, our graduates have penetrated all corners of Taiwan and became pioneers in basic healthcare services. As our graduates won warm acclaim from society, we found that we had successfully accomplished our initial mission.

In order to cultivate a new generation of professional medical talents, we began to expand our disciplines into biomedicine. In 1994, we were promoted to “National Yang-Ming University” and became the first medicine-oriented comprehensive university in Taiwan. As time went on, we established the School of Medical Technology and Engineering (renamed as the School of Biomedical Science and Engineering in 2007), the School of Life Sciences, the Center for General Education, the School of Nursing and the School of Dentistry. In 2007, the School of Humanities and Social Sciences was established, and the Center for General Education renamed as the Center of Humanities and Social Science was combined into the School of Humanities and Social Sciences in 2008. In 2015, the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences officially launched its operation. As of the 2016 academic year, NYMU has seven schools with 11 undergraduate programs, 34 master programs and 28 PhD programs. In addition, NYMU has more than 20 research centers with emphasis on cancer and immunology, brain research, biophotonics, aging and health, and biomedical engineering.

NTU-SEARCA Joint Scholarship Program for Global ATGS

National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) International Student Scholarship

National Tsing Hua University is located in Hsinchu, Taiwan, 72 kilometers south of Taipei. The campus covers over 136.06 hectares (366.2 acres) of scenic land,flush with lakes and trees. Campus convenience is of the utmost, neighboring research institutes and universities, like: the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), National Synchrotron Radiation Research Center (NSSRC), National Center for High-Performance Computing (NCHC), Food Industry Research and Development Institute (FIRDI), National Chiao Tung University (NCTU), Chung-Hua University (CHU), and the Hsinchu Science-Based Industrial Park (HSIP). Hsinchu is accurately known and dubbed as the ‘Science city of Taiwan’.

National Tsing Hua University was formally merged with National Hsinchu University of Education (NHCUE) on the first of November, 2016. The university now has 10 colleges, 26 departments, 27 independent graduate institutes,and 10 master and PhD programs : the Colleges of Science, Engineering, Nuclear Science, Humanities and Social Sciences, Life Science, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and the Colleges of Technology Management, Tsing Hua, Education, and Arts. NTHU employs over 808 full-time faculty members. More than 16,547 students, around 9,006 undergraduates, 5,805 master candidates and 1,736 for doctoral candidates as of data of fall semester 2016. The student-faculty ratio is 20.48:1 and male to female students is 2.1:1.

NTHU emphasizes interdisciplinary approach. In addition to upholding basic standards, undergraduate curricula are designed to maximize flexibility as well as integration. NTHU surpasses curricula norms, transcending collegiate and departmental boundaries.

National Chiao Tung University (NCTU) Scholarship for 2021 Spring Semester

National Chiao Tung University (NCTU) was established in Taiwan in 1958. After undergoing 60 years of development and refinement, it boasts outstanding performance in the fields of information and communications, basic research, biotechnology, humanities and social sciences, management and law. At present, the total number of students stands at more than 14,000. There are 12 colleges, including the College of Electrical and Computer Engineering, College of Computer Science, College of Science, College of Engineering, College of Biological Science and Technology, College of Photonics, International College of Semiconductor Technology, College of Management, College of Humanities and Social Sciences, College of Hakka Studies, School of Law and College of Artificial Intelligence.

The Office of International Affairs was formerly known as the “Overseas Chinese and Foreign Student Services Unit” and was established by the Office of Student Affairs in 1995 to assist the growing number of expatriates in adapting to campus life. In 2003, the Overseas Chinese and Foreign Student Services Unit was reorganized to become the “International Services Center.”

National Cheng Kung University is named after “Cheng Kung Cheng”, the national hero of the Ming Dynasty, who is known as Koxinga in Taiwan. “Cheng Kung” also means success (成功)in Chinese.

NCKU offers a borderless learning environment for students in its campuses, which are characterized by classical Western and modern eastern scenery.

The NCKU school spirit of “Pristine Practicality has been cultivated under the influence of Tainan City’s classical culture and complements NCKU’s motto of “Intellectual development through the lifelong exploration of knowledge”. While members of NCKU are well-integrated with one another, they also work independently.
