2021 U.S.-ASEAN Women’s Leadership Academy for YSEALI

The Academy aims to be an avenue for participants to advance their leadership skills, to understand more of key gender differences and challenges in the public health sector, and to create a network of young Southeast Asian women leaders who work across national borders and drive collective action, and nurture a strong ASEAN identity and community. This will be done through a series of online webinars and activities with general leadership skill training, break-out sessions, mentoring, and networking opportunities with leaders from the region and the United States.

The Smithsonian Institution Fellowship Program (SIFP)

The Smithsonian Institution Fellowship Program offers opportunities for independent research or study related to Smithsonian collections, facilities, and/or research interests of the Institution and its staff. Fellowships are offered to graduate students, predoctoral students, and postdoctoral and senior investigators to conduct independent research and to utilize the resources of the Institution with members of the Smithsonian professional research staff serving as advisors and hosts. These fellowships are offered through the Smithsonian’s Office of Fellowships and Internships, and are administered under the charter of the Institution, 20 U.S. Code section 41 et seq.

Applicants who wish to conduct research at the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory (SAO) should go here as SAO application requirements and deadlines may be different.

Meryl Williams Fellow 2021

Supporting women to enhance their leadership skills and increase their impact.GEAReD is inviting applications for the secondoffering of the prestigious Meryl Williams Fellowships to participate in a women’s leadership program, funded by the Australian Centre for International Agriculture Research (ACIAR). The leadership program supportswomen in agriculture research and development to enhance their leadership skills and increase their impact through a combination of immersive learning, mentoring, networking and career development activities. The program involves a variety of activities that take place across a 15-month period commencing late January/February2021.

ASEAN-INDIA RESEARCH TRAINING FELLOWSHIP (AI-RTF)

India S&T Collaboration started formally in 1996 with establishment of ASEAN India S&T working Group (AIWGST). Initially, the collaborative ASEAN-India S&T activities were supported through ASEAN India Fund (AIF). In 2008, Government of India established a dedicated fund viz ASEAN India S&T Development Fund (AISTDF) to support R&D projects and associated project development activities. The total budget of AISTDF is an equivalent amount of 5 Million USD in INR. This amount of 5 Million USD is jointly shared by Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and Department of Science & Technology (DST). The Department of Science & Technology is the nodal Department for execution and implementation of ASEAN-India S&T Cooperation program from Indian side.

The Orange Knowledge Programme aims to advance the development of the capacity, knowledge and quality of both individuals as well as organisations in the field of Technical and Vocational Education and Training and Higher Education and in other fields related to priority themes in the OKP partner countries. The scholarships are awarded in a very competitive selection to highly motivated professionals who are in a position to introduce the newly-acquired skills and knowledge into their employing organisation. The Orange Knowledge Programme aims to contribute to a society’s sustainable and inclusive development. Its scholarships are open to mid-career professionals in specific countries.
