Kyoto University of Advanced Science (KUAS), is an accredited four-year private university located in Kyoto, Japan. Kyoto is known as the cultural capital of Japan and also as a major tourist destination. It is home to numerous shrines and temples, as well as 17 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. KUAS will soon start an innovative all-English engineering program – the graduate course starting in September 2020 and undergraduate in September 2021 to meet the global demand for street-smart engineers. As a provider of state-of-the-art education, KUAS ensures that all its graduates will be ready for career opportunities not only in Japan but also internationally.
Programs
The engineering programs at KUAS focus on mechanical, electrical and mechatronics technologies. However, KUAS also offer a high degree of flexibility and specialization. The faculty at KUAS specializes in a variety of subjects, allowing students to be exposed to a wide range of knowledge which is necessary to become professionally balanced engineers.

KUAS offers two types of scholarships for Bachelor, Master and Doctoral
program.
1. Super KUAS-E Scholarship
Stipend (for personal expenses) 1,200,000 JPY/year* + Tuition exemption (100%) + Admission fee exemption (100%)
2. KUAS-E Scholarship
Tuition reduction (100%, 50% or 30%) + Admission fee reduction (100%, 50% or 30%)
For Doctoral program, only 100% tuition and admission fee reduction is available. The above scholarship will be applied for 2021 September intake students only.
