Please remember to view the full information about ACT in our PDF profile above. There you will find additional information about scoring, test fees and registration, how to prepare, and where to find more information. You can also save or print a copy for your records.
The ACT is an alternative test to the SAT. It is more difficult to find testing centers for this test outside the United States. Some universities will only accept SAT scores, but a number (especially in the West and Midwest) will accept either SAT or ACT scores. The ACT is given five times a year.
The ACT is a two-hour and fifty-five-minute test consisting of four sections:
SUBJECT | NO. OF QUESTIONS | TIME GIVEN |
---|---|---|
English | 75 questions | 45 minutes |
Math | 60 questions | 60 minutes |
Reading | 40 questions | 35 minutes |
Science | 40 questions | 35 minutes |
