In the 2022-2023 academic years, TDTU offers full scholarships and partial scholarships to international students of foreign nationalities in two undergraduate programs: (1)Undergraduate programs taught in Vietnamese language & (2)Undergraduate programs taught in English language.
Number of scholarships – budget and its coverage
1. Undergraduate programs taught in Vietnamese language
- Number of scholarships: 50 scholarships of 100% and 30 scholarships of 50%.
- Coverage: Tuition fee and Dormitory fee.
2. Undergraduate programs taught in English language
- Number of scholarships: 10 scholarships of 100% and 05 scholarships of 50%.
- Coverage: Tuition fee and Dormitory fee
Scholarship application requirements
1. Undergraduate programs taught in Vietnamese language.
a. Academic entry requirements
- Completion of a senior high school diploma or equivalent.
- GPA of the final year of senior high school is at least 6.5/10.
b. Language entry requirement
- It is not required for scholarship applications. Without a B2 Vietnamese language proficiency certificate, you are required to attend a 1-year Vietnamese language class organized by TDTU.
c. Additional requirements
- For Pharmacy course (for the applicants graduated in other countries or in international schools in Vietnam):
* GPA of the final year of senior high school is marked as “Good” or above.
* The average Chemistry score of the final year of senior high school or equivalence must be ≥ 7.0 (scale 10.0).
- For the courses Architecture, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Fashion Design, and Industrial Design: you are required to take the aptitude assessment test organized by TDTU before entering the Bachelor’s programs.
2. Undergraduate programs taught in English language.
a. Academic entry requirements
- Completion of a senior high school diploma or equivalent.
- GPA of the final year of senior high school is at least 6.5/10.
b. Language entry requirement
- IELTS ≥ 5.0 or equivalent (*).
(*) TOEFL iBT: 60; Cambridge Exams: B1 Preliminary/B2 First 140; Cambridge BEC: BEC Preliminary/BEC Vantage 140; BULATS 40; TOEIC (4 skills): Listening and Reading 550, Writing 120, Speaking 120; TDTU English language proficiency assessment test 50 – 59, TDTU English language proficiency assessment test (online): 61 – 70. The applicants from countries where English is your primary language are not required to have an international English language proficiency certificate. (The English language proficiency certificate must be valid within two year from the test date until 01 October 2022).
Notes: According to the applicant’s high school academic performance, TDTU Scholarship Council will select the candidates with highest academic performances to offer the scholarships.

- For the Undergraduate programs taught in Vietnamese language, applicants choose 1 out of 39 courses. The scholarships for the Vietnamese study – Vietnamese language, Culture and Society course are not available. Click here to view the courses.

Other information
1. Visa policy
TDTU plays the role as a sponsor to apply the visa for successful candidates. You are required to send the scans of your passport and other essential documents for the visa application and you will receive the visa at Vietnam Embassy/Vietnam Consulate General office in your home country or in another third country (if there is no Vietnam Embassy/Vietnam Consulate General in your country). This process takes around 1-2 weeks since the visa application is submitted to the authority in Vietnam. Any costs associated with the visa are the responsibility of the students.
2. Accommodation
Prospective students are arranged to accommodate in the TDTU dormitory inside the main campus on the arrival date. Cafeterias serving meals and drinks are available at the dormitory area.
