The Vietnamese-German University (VGU) announces that it is now accepting undergraduate applications for the intake 2025 as follows:
1. Eligible applicants
Applicants who graduated or will graduate in 2025 (currently in grade 12) from Vietnamese or international high schools are eligible. Applicants must meet the admission requirements set by the VGU and Ministry of Education and Training (MoET).

3. Admission mode
VGU’s admission is carried out via five following modes. Applicants are entitled to apply to several modes of admission but must adhere to the admission and enrollment timelines for each mode. For applicants applying through multiple admission methods, the admission results and scholarships for each method are determined independently. Details are as follows:

4. English proficiency requirement for admission
- Have a valid international English certificate, equivalent to at least IELTS academic 5.0 at the time of application (the equivalency of different English proficiency tests is detailed in Annex 1 of VGU’s admission regulation for undergraduate programs); or
- Pass VGU English test which covers listening, speaking, reading and writing skills administered by VGU; or
- Achieve at least 7.5 points (grading scale of 10 points) of the average English score in three years of High School (Grades 10, 11 and 12). This is only applicable for Mode 2 and Mode 5.
- The following cases are exempted from the English proficiency requirement:
- Applicants from one of the countries where English is an official language (the list of countries is provided in Annex 2 VGU’s admission regulation for undergraduate programs;
- Applicants graduated from an international high school where the language of instruction and examination is English. Applicants must submit a letter of confirmation issued by their school, stating that the instruction and examination were conducted in English.
5. Application process
The applicants are required to complete the application form and submit the following documents (scanned copy) through the online application system of VGU https://apply.vgu.edu.vn:
- Personal identity card/ passport;
- The official or temporary High School Graduation Certificate (if any);
- Official high school academic records (Grades 10, 11 and 12) verified by the relevant high school (required for Mode 2, 3, 5);
- Valid award certificate or evidence of the excellent academic achievement (required for Mode 3);
- International high school graduation diploma or certificate of international aptitude tests (required for Mode 4);
- The official result of High school Graduation Exam (required for Mode 5);
- Valid English certificate (if any).
6. Tuition fee
6.1. Tuition fee per one semester for intake 2025
The tuition fee per semester remains unchanged throughout the entire standard training period prescribed for one enrollment cohort. The tuition fee per program for students of intake 2025 is as follows:

International students from middle and low-average income countries are entitled to pay tuition fees equal to the tuition fees applicable to Vietnamese students.
6.2 Entrance examination fee
- Applicant with valid registered documents for Mode 1 (TestAS) will receive the notification of entrance examination fee including TestAS; VGU English Test (if required or registered).
- The TestAS fee of 2,000,000 VND is only refundable if the applicant submits the substituted TestAS certificates or send a request of canceling the VGU TestAS registration at least 2 weeks prior to the entrance exam date. If applicants must take VGU English test, the test fee is 500,000 VND/test.

7. Scholarships7.1 Merit scholarships for the 1st academic year
a) All admitted applicants for SME, EPE, BCE, MEC and BSE who enroll within the prescribed time will be granted the merit scholarships of 100% tuition fee for the 1st academic year.
b) The merit scholarship policy for CSE, ECE, MEN, BFA, BBA, ARC programs are as follows:

7.2 Full merit scholarships for students having excellent academic achievements
Admitted applicants with excellent qualifications who admitted and enrolled can apply for full merit scholarships, covering 100% of the tuition fees for the entire four academic years of their undergraduate programs. This opportunity is available after the completion of the enrolment procedure within the prescribed time. Detailed information will be provided in September. Applicants must meet the following requirements:

In addition, students have the opportunity to receive merit scholarships, scholarships from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the World University Service (WUS) and industrial scholarships from the 2nd academic year, based on excellent achievements in academics, social and student activities.
7.3. Full merit scholarships for students from Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar
VGU offers 66 full merit scholarships for admitted applicants from Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar and having valid IELTS academic at least 6.5 or equivalent. Each full merit scholarship is valued 100% of tuition fee of 8 semesters.

8. Tuition fee support policy
- Vietnamese students who are relatives of individuals with meritorious services to the revolution, disabled students, students eligible for monthly social benefits, ethnic minority students… are entitled to tuition reduction according to current regulations of the Prime Minister;
- Vietnamese students who are VGU’s staff, their spouse, their siblings and their children are entitled to a 25% tuition fee reduction for academic years;
- Vietnamese students who have siblings currently enrolled at VGU (only applicable to students who enroll later), as well as students who are lecturers or staff working in the educational sector (from primary school to university) and their children, are entitled to a 5% tuition fee reduction for academic years.
