Enrollment Eligibility
1. Applicants who apply for a bachelor degree are required to have completed their study at a high school with HSK (level four) 180 scores or above and are under 25 years of age;
2. Applicants who apply for a master degree are required to have a bachelor degree with HSK (level five)180 scores or above and are under 35 years of age;
3. Applicants who apply for a doctoral degree should have a master’s degree with HSK (level five) 180 scores or above and
be under 40 years of age.
Scholarship Coverage
1. A waiver of tuition;
2. Free on-campus dormitory accommodation;
3. Monthly living allowance;
4. Comprehensive Medical Insurance and Protection Scheme for International Students in China.

Application Documents
1. Application Form of Yunnan Provincial Government Scholarship（After online application, the application form will be automatically generated）;
2. A photocopy of the first page of the passport (must be valid for at least one year);
3. Notarized highest diploma and transcripts. If applicants are graduating, they must provide a pre-graduation certificate and submit degree certificate and diploma certificate before registration. Documents in language other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English;
4. A photocopy of HSK result report (Valid for two years);
5. A study or research plan signed by the applicant in Chinese or in English;
6. Applicants who apply for master’s degrees and doctoral degrees are required to have two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English written by professors or associate professors;
7. A photocopy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form (Valid for six months), please bring the original copy when coming to China;
8. Certificate of No Criminal Record;
9. Other documents.
★Note:
1. The uploaded certificates and transcripts must be original Chinese or English. For materials that are not in Chinese or English, the original and notarized Chinese or English translations must be uploaded at the same time;
2. Please scan with a scanner and upload relevant documents. Documents taken by mobile phones or cameras will not be accepted. No need to mail paper materials.
Application and Admission
1. Apply online: Applicants please visit the International Student Registration Website of YNNU at http://ynnu.at0086.cn/student to apply online, submit clear electronic materials;
2. Check the status: Applicants can check the progress and status of the application through the application portal, please regularly check the system messages and your emails so as not to miss important notices;
3. Application results: YNNU reviews all the materials of the applicant and conducts (interviews if necessary); applicants can check the admission results in the online application portal for international students of Yunnan Normal University http://ynnu.at0086.cn/student;
4. Issue Admission Notice: YNNU will issue Electronic Admission Notice and Visa documents to those admitted.
Visa Application and Registration
1.International students who are admitted should apply for a Study Visa (X1 visa) at the Chinese Embassy or consulate general in your country with your passport, Admission Notice, the JW202 form and the Medical Examination Record for Foreigners and other related documents.
2. International students who are admitted should come to our university to register before the date written on the Admission Notice. New students must bring their original highest diploma for the university to review their admission qualifications. Those who fail to register over two weeks without any reason or do not meet the admission requirements will be disqualified from admission.
