Chiang Mai University (CMU) Scholarship for 2021

Chiang Mai University (CMU) was founded in January 1964, under a Royal Charter granted by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. CMU is the first provincial university in Thailand, based on the government’s policy and the objectives of the northern people, as a center for academic and occupational knowledge in order to benefit the region and the country as a whole.This university is a place for knowledge collection, studies, research, and knowledge transfer according to academic freedom based on morality and academic excellence, application and transfer, and arts and culture development.Graduates from Chiang Mai University will emphasize self-training in order to become knowledgeable, thoughtful, and practical persons, as well as being able to manage themselves and other people, and work with ethics and social awareness.

Eligibility

 1.1.  Doctoral Degree

An applicant admitted to this program must have graduated from a tertiary-level educational institute accredited by the Commission on Higher Education and have been successfully reviewed by the appropriate Graduate Program Administrative Committee as follows:

The applicant must,

1. Have completed a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent, with outstanding results (received honors) in the same or related field in which he/she intends to study, and possess the skills, knowledge, and competence to conduct his/her thesis research, or

2. Have completed a master’s degree with good results, or

3. Currently be studying at the master’s degree level in the same field, with outstanding results.

        1.2 Master’s Degree

An applicant admitted to this program must have graduated with a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent, with outstanding results (received honors) in the same or related field in which he/she intends to study, and possess the skills, knowledge, and competence to conduct his/her thesis research.

        1.3 Advanced Diploma Courses

  An applicant admitted to this program must:

  1. Have graduated with a bachelor’s degree with a study term of six years, or graduated with a master’s degree or its equivalent from a tertiary-level educational institute accredited by the Commission on Higher Education and have been successfully reviewed by the appropriate Graduate Program Administrative Committee.
  2. Have never been dismissed from any educational institute on account of misconduct
  3. Possess other qualifications as specified by the Graduate School.
  4. Still be a student in bachelor’s degree, graduate diploma, master’s degree, advanced diploma courses of Chiang Mai University or another university. When applicants have been selected, applicants are allowed to register conditionally and student registration will be completed when student has already graduated in former.
  5. Have other qualifications as required by programs.
  6. Government proposed applicants must be approved by their government and their government must submit the list of required programs to the Graduate School by 20th January 2013. Such applicants must follow all requirements of admission, examinations, etc.
