Tuition & Costs

2023 SSDM Tuition Fees

There are two semesters in each academic year and students are billed each semester.

Basic Tuition Fees: NTD 32,086 (*USD 1,146)

Miscellaneous Fees: NTD 14,005 (*USD 500)

Computer and Web Access Fees: NTD 2,340 (*USD 84)

NTPU Student Insurance: NTD 375 (*USD 14)

Credit Fees: NTD 1,960 (*USD 70)

Bachelor program students who declare a minor or double major will not be charged credit fees.

However, if students who declared a minor take more than 28 credits and students who declared a double major take over 31 credits, they will be charged NT$1,960 for every additional credit.

Bachelor program students who retake a course the second time will be charged a fee of NT$1,960 per credit (fees for credits above 25 and retaking courses the second time will not be charged twice).

*USD 1 ≒ NTD 28 (estimated conversion)

Note:

Bachelor program students who extended their period of study will only be required to pay credit fees if they take 9 credits (inclusive) or fewer of courses; students will be required to pay the full tuition and miscellaneous fees if they take 10 credits (inclusive) or more of courses. Credit fees are calculated based on the number of hours (e.g., if the course grants 0 credits but has 2 hours of class, then the fee is NT$3,920, but the number of credits is still 0).

Other:

Language learning resource fees:

Applicable to bachelor program students (only collected in the first year after enrollment), students of the Department of Foreign Languages and Applied Linguistics will be charged NT$1,440 each semester, and students in other departments will be charged NT$1,060 each semester for a total of two semesters.

Computer and Internet communication fees:

Bachelor program students (only collected in the first year after enrollment) will be charged NT$2,340 each semester for a total of two semesters. Master’s and doctoral students (only collected in the first year after enrollment) will be charged NT$1,900 each semester for a total of two semesters.
