Taiwan Scholarship Programs at National Central University

National Central University, NCU, is located in Jhongli, Taoyuan, Taiwan and it has become a home to more than 12,000 students. Currently NCU has 8 colleges, 22 undergraduate programs and 50 graduate programs. NCU is also one of the members of the University System of Taiwan (UST), sharing resources with National Tsing Hua University, National Chiao Tung University, and National Yang Ming University.

We have been selected twice in “The Aim for the Top University Project”, receiving grants from the Ministry of Education. The University has consistently been evaluated as “Excellent”. We are ranked as No. 3 in Taiwan by Google Scholar Citations (267 in World), No. 4 in Taiwan in 2017 U.S. News & World Report (427 in Best Global Universities Rankings) and ranked 351-400 in QS World University Rankings.

Application Period: August 31 to 5 pm (GMT+8) November 2, 2020

Result Announcement: 12:00 (GMT+8) December 4, 2020

Application Procedure: Complete all the application procedure, including filling the online application form, uploading all the required documents, and online recommendation letters. Late submission and incomplete application will not be processed.

  1. Make sure that you are qualified to apply as an international degree student.
  2. Check whether the department/institute for which you intend to apply accepts international students.
  3. Check the required documents that are requested to prepare.
  4. Register for only ONE account (please use your Email address as the username) on the application system.
  5. Log in and fill out the online application form.
  6. Fill in the Recommenders’ Information. Recommenders will receive an invitation and email notice from the online system.
  7. Upload all the application documents in PDF format to the system and reminder recommender to complete the online recommendation procedure before the application deadline.
Types of Scholarships

Besides NCU International Student Scholarship, international students could also apply for scholarship offered by Taiwan Government. There are 5 different scholarship offered to those international students who intend to pursur degree in Taiwan. There are Taiwan Scholarship provided by Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ministry of Science and Technology, Taiwan International Program established by Academia Sinica and International Higher Education Scholarship Programs offered TaiwanICDF.
