Chinese Government Scholarship – Chinese University Program at Hohai University

Founded in 1915, Hohai University is a key state university under the direct administration of the Ministry of Education of China. Specialized in the research of water conservancy and education of engineering programs, the University provides disciplines ranging from engineering, science to economics, management, liberal arts, and law.

Hohai University is among the first batch of state-authorizing universities to award bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees to foreign students. The University has received students from over 80 countries and regions, most of whom have become senior experts, scholars and officials in their home countries.

Categories of the Scholarship
  1. Full Scholarship
    • The full scholarship covers the tuition, accommodation, comprehensive insurance and monthly allowance. The full scholarship is only available for master and doctoral students.
  2. Partial Scholarship
    • The partial scholarship covers one or several of the items mentioned in the Full Scholarship.
Eligibility
  • Applicants should be younger than 35 for the master programs and 40 for doctoral programs. Hohai only recommends the master and doctoral candidates who’re NOT studying in China.

Selection and Approval
  • The professors from different colleges will check the online applications and submit the recommended name list. The International School will coordinate on the enrollment and report to the university committee where the final decision is made.
  • Those who’re enrolled will be notified through the online application email or by phone and get their names announced on Hohai website.
